So once again, inspiration strikes! And this time it is in the form of a wonderful Quilt Along being hosted by Kaelin at The Plaid Scottie.
She is doing her version of a Double Wedding Ring. I'd always just liked the pattern , but I became enamored by it when I saw a stunning jewel tone version of it at the Kutztown Quilt Show a few summers ago.

(Note: this is not the show quilt, but it is VERY similar in colors/style)
A few things have changed in my life since that show, namely that I am now happily married. Another is that I am quilting, and crafting more frequently than ever. So, is it destiny or conicidence that one of my 'gotta try that some day' patterns is a QAL?
I really want to do it. I want to jump in head first while the excitement and opportunity are prime! Buttttt, I can already hear hubby asking me, why am I starting something new when there are so many in progress?
Here's my compromise- I will get cracking on my over flowing 'current projects pile' for the next week, and see what I can get done before the JULY 1st start date that Kaelin has set.
After all, there's no time like the present.
