Blogging is uncharted territory for me, however (trying to be) crafty runs in my blood... From paper to fabric, I see each scrap as an opportunity to be creative, resourceful, to learn, to experiment, to grow, and most importantly to share.
There are two things that slow me down: my mind wanders and I get impatient. Who doesn't though? Seriously? It's part of the creative process, right? I tell myself this just makes the project much more fun and meaningful. Is that my denial or wisdom creeping out?
Either way, it's here to stay. It’s reassuring to know I’m not the only one, though. I came across r0ssie's pledge here on the day I decided plunge into the world of blogging. Coincidence? I think not. So whether this reaches one or one hundred like minded curious crafters and quilters...
...I, Annaliese, pledge to talk more about my processes,
even when I can’t quite put them in the in words or be sure I’m being totally clear.
I’m going to put my thinking and my gut feelings out there.
Because behind every beautiful scrapbook and every snuggle worthy quilt there may be bent pages, mismatched seams and a grumbling or two.
